Kia India has launched a very attractive option of the most affordable 7-seater EV in the Indian market (currently). The Kia Carens Clavis EV offers a strong feature list, competitive pricing, and the brand's established network.
This electric MPV will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3, Tata Harrier.ev, Mahindra BE 6, Tata Nexon EV Max, and Citroën eC3.
The new electric Kia car is offered in four variants across two battery pack options and six color options. Here are the variants with the price (ex-showroom) and battery capacity:
The new Kia Carens Clavis EV is available in six color options. The interior of all the variants has a modern black and white dual-tone theme.
HTK+ features specific details, including black and beige upholstery, while HTX and HTX+ trims are available with Triton Navy & Beige leatherette upholstery.
The official bookings for the car start on July 22, 2025. Customers can book the vehicle both online through Kia India's official website and by visiting their nearest authorized Kia dealership.
This EV is a 7-seater Electric Multi-Utility Vehicle (MUV) or a Recreational Vehicle (RV). The interior blends modern aesthetics with practicality and retains the ICE silhouette but with distinct EV-specific elements. The Carens EV also features advanced technology, connectivity, safety, and convenience.

The new Carens EV is offered with 2 different battery pack options, which cater to varying range requirements and price points. The two battery options with IP67-certified safety are:
The car comes with an onboard 11 kW AC charger (10-100% in 4-4.75 hours). The batteries allow 100 kW DC Fast Charging, which charges both battery capacities in approximately 39 minutes.
It comes with 2 motor options: 135 PS (for 42 kWh) and 171 PS (for 51.4 kWh), which both produce 255 Nm of torque.
The 51.4 kWh variant is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds, which is impressive for a 7-seater MUV. It also has a paddle shifter with four levels of regenerative braking.
