Kia Seltos is presented with a total of three BS6 compliant engine options: a 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol, a 1.5L 4-cylinder diesel and a 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.5L petrol engine develops a top power of 115bhp and peak torque of 144Nm while available with a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic unit. Speaking of the 1.5L diesel motor, it belts out 115bhp and 250Nm while linked to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Lastly, the 1.4L turbo petrol engine generates maximum power of 140bhp and highest torque of 242Nm while it comes linked with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Kia Seltos petrol mileage figures are at par with the rivals. The 1.5L petrol engine has a fuel economy of 16.50kmpl and 16.80kmpl with manual and CVT automatic gearboxes, respectively. Similarly, the 1.4L turbo petrol engine returns a fuel efficiency of 16.10kmpl and 16.50kmpl with manual and DCT automatic transmissions, respectively. The 2020 Kia Seltos was launched in June earlier this year with a total of 10 new features. The company also reshuffled the variant line-up of the SUV by discontinuing two variants while the updated Kia Seltos was priced in a range of Rs 9.89-17.34 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). It was introduced with dual tone color options which were missing earlier from the SUV. The prices were dropped by Rs 10,000-30,000 to make it a more value for money package for the buyers.
