2025 Yamaha Aerox 155 Launched in India with Fresh Upgrades

Yamaha Aerox, a global lineup of sporty scooters, has just launched the 2025 Yamaha Aerox 155. This sporty maxi-scooter comes in two variants with two new colors, E20 fuel compliance, and a Smart Key.

The scooter starts at Rs. 1.50 lacs (ex-showroom) and retains all the features present in the outgoing Aerox model. The rivals of this scooter are Aprilia SXR 160, Suzuki Burgman Street, Hero Xoom 160, Aprilia SR 160, and TVS Ntorq 125.

The new Aerox comes in 2 variants. The Standard is available at Rs. 1.50 lacs (ex-showroom) and the Version S is priced at Rs. 1.53 lacs (ex-showroom).

2025 Yamaha Aerox 155 colors and design

The new Aerox feels sporty, powerful, and an unconventional scooter with its aggressive styling. This scooter appeals to the younger riders and comes in two new color designs. Overall, it's available in three different colors:

• Metallic Black (Standard)
• (New) Racing Blue (Version S)
• (New) Ice Fluo Vermillion (Version S)

2025 Yamaha Aerox 155 features

The new Aerox 155 keeps its bold, muscular, and sporty maxi-scooter design. The core features remain the same as the older version, except for some additions in the top-spec Version S.

It gets the Smart Key for keyless ignition and an "Answer Back" function to easily locate the scooter in crowded parking spaces via flashing indicators and a buzzer sound. The retained key features of this sports scooter are:

• Traction Control System (TCS)
• Single-channel ABS
• Y-Connect Bluetooth connectivity
• Large 14-inch wheels 
• Spacious under-seat storage of 24.5 liters
• Automatic Start-Stop system

2025 Yamaha Aerox 155 engine and specifications

One major upgrade of Yamaha’s sporty maxi-scooter is the OBD2B compliance. It has the same Liquid-cooled, 155cc, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve engine, which produces a power of 5 hp and a peak torque of 13.9 Nm.

It has a fuel tank capacity of 5.5 liters and has an ARAI-claimed mileage of 40 km/l. The top speed of the Aerox is reported at around 111 km/h.
