Yamaha Motor India has launched the Aerox 155 Version S scooter in the Indian market. The Version S is the high-end variant of Yamaha’s flagship scooter, the Aerox 155. The new scooter is available at a price tag of INR 1,50,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The auto giant is offering the Aerox 155 Version S in two color schemes: Racing Blue and Silver. It will be retailed only via Blue Square showrooms.

The 2024 Yamaha Aerox S comes equipped with Smart Key technology. The Aerox S has become safer due to this additional function. The keyless ignition allows riders to start the Maxi scooter without putting in the key. The proximity sensor detects the key, and riders only need to turn a knob to the ignition position and press the start button. The smart key gets an immobilizer function, which means that the scooter will remain secured even when the smart key is not close by. The scooter comes equipped with answer-back capability, buzzer sounds, and flashing blinkers.

The Aerox S draws power from the same 155-cc, single-cylinder engine equipped in the standard variant. The engine produces 15 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The powertrain is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S houses a traction control system, an on-board diagnostic (OBD-II) system, and a hazard system. The scooter also has all-LED lighting, a silent start motor, and automatic start/stop features.
