The American automaker Ford has filed a trademark for its famous Mustang Mach-E nameplate in India. The automaker is reported to be making a re-entry into the domestic market in 2025. Ford closed its operations in India in 2021, and at that time, the auto giant said that it would be unveiling the Mustang Mach-E in the country. As of now, no timeline details have been shared by the automaker. Ford is expected to bring the electric crossover to Indian shores via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. In India, the auto giant has also applied for a design patent for the updated Endeavour.
The moniker of the Mustang Mach-E has been retained from the outgoing Mustang model, but apart from the moniker, it is a completely new model. The manufacturer first launched the Mustang Mach-E in 2019 globally. It was also the first electric vehicle in Ford’s portfolio. Inside the cabin, the electric car gets modern features like a 15.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, advanced driver assistance, a panoramic glass roof, a premium sound system, and more.

The American auto giant offers the electric car in four variants: GT, California Route 1, Premium, and Select. The electric crossover has an all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive powertrain. The car comes with two battery sizes: 91 kWh and 72 kWh, depending on the trim. The Mustang Mach-E comes with a certified range of between 397 km and 502 km, which also depends on the configuration that buyers opt for.
Ford has also filed a design patent for its new-generation Endeavour, which is already available in international markets. The company has not confirmed whether it will come back to India, but the recently filed trademarks hint that both of these cars might make it to Indian shores soon. If the Ford Endeavour is launched in the country, it will give tough competition to the MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner.
The Endeavour is sold as the Ford Everest in the global market. Ford offers this car with a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel. The bi-turbo produces 208 bhp, while the 2.0-litre turbo produces 168 bhp. The turbo diesel engine is mated to a six-speed AT transmission, while the bi-turbo has a 10-speed AT transmission.
