Royal Enfield Motorcycles has given a price hike to two of its popular commuter bikes - Bullet 350 and Classic 350. This is the second price revision since the bikes have received a BS6 update. Royal Enfield Bullet 350 was launched at a starting price of Rs 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-end variant was offered at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom). After the price hike of Rs 2756, the bike is now available in the price bracket of Rs 1.27 lakh - Rs 1.42 lakh (ex-showroom). As for the suspension, it gets telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by a disc with single-channel ABS up front and a drum towards the rear.

Talking about the BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350, it was introduced in the price range of Rs 1.59 lakh - Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has given a price hike of up to Rs 1838 across all its variants. Now the bike is being offered in the price range of Rs 1.61 lakh - Rs 1.86 lakh (ex-showroom). Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic forks up front and dual-spring loaded shock absorber towards the rear. In terms of brakes, it gets discs at both the ends along with an option of single-channel ABS and dual-channel ABS.

Both Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and Classic 350 get a 346cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine produces a maximum power output of 19.2 bhp and a peak torque of 28 Nm. In comparison to their BS4 counterparts, the power output is slightly lower while the torque figure has been increased by 1 Nm. The air-cooled powertain is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Apart from this, the company is gearing up to launch the new Meteor 350 on September 18. The bike will be replacing the Thunderbird 350 in the Indian market. It will come equipped with a new 350cc engine and will be based on an entirely new platform dubbed as ‘JD1’.
