BS6 Maruti Suzuki Celerio

Maruti Suzuki launched the BS6 compliant S-CNG variant of Celerio today. It has been introduced in line with Maruti’s vision of Mission Green Million, originally announced at this year's Auto Expo 2020. Maruti Suzuki has been offering an extensive range of CNG vehicles for a decade now with an aim to venture into green and sustainable mobility. The company aims to sell 1 million green vehicles in a couple of years under its “Mission Green Million” initiative.

The BS6 compliant Maruti Suzuki S-CNG Celerio is offered in three variants namely VXI CNG, VXI(O) CNG, and Tour H2 BS6 CNG. The VXI CNG variant is priced at Rs 5.60 lakhs and the VXI(O) CNG variant is offered at Rs 5.68 lakhs. While the Tour H2 CNG variant costs Rs 5.36 lakhs. All prices mentioned here are ex-Showroom.

On the occasion of this launch, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “Celerio has always struck a chord with our customers for being a perfect car for city driving. The “Easy to Drive, Easy to Love” Celerio became increasingly popular amongst young urban couples, appreciated for its comfortable ride, easy maneuverability and excellent fuel efficiency. Celerio was also the first car to introduce Auto Gear Shift technology in India, pioneering the two-pedal technology. With over 5 lakh customers choosing Celerio, we hope to extend its popularity with the BS6 S- CNG variant. Maruti Suzuki is determined to propagate green and sustainable mobility in the country, as a part of our commitment to the Mission Green Million”.

Maruti Suzuki has equipped its S-CNG variant with Interdependent ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and intelligent injection systems. As a result, the Celerio CNG range has received a price hike of Rs 30,000 due to these up-gradations in order to meet the BS6 Emission Norms.
