Bajaj Auto has recently filed a fresh trademark application in the country for the name Vector. The Vector could also be the company’s future electric scooter. The two-wheeler manufacturer has not made any official statement, but there are rumors regarding the launch of a new scooter due to the similarities between the Husqvarna Vektorr and the recent nomenclature for which the trademark has been filed.
The Indian two-wheeler EV segment is one of the most rapidly growing markets in the world, and various startups have been unveiling their new scooters and motorcycles in this segment. The demand for new models has been rising due to heightened competition, and several legacy players are trying their best to grab a sizable share of the growing electric two-wheeler market. Bajaj Auto, too, is aiming to make its mark in this segment.

Although Bajaj Auto has launched the famous Chetak electric scooter in the Indian market, it has not yet tasted success in the domestic electric vehicle market. The Indian EV market is currently dominated by famous brands like Ather Energy and Ola Electric. It is possible that the manufacturer is trying to revamp its efforts in the EV two-wheeler segment, and the new scooter named Vector may be a part of its new strategy.
Earlier, Husqvarna also unveiled a concept scooter under the similar name 'Vektorr’. The concept scooter came with a new design, which attracted several enthusiasts across the world. The recent move by the manufacturer is yet again fueling rumors that the manufacturer might be planning to develop a new electric scooter. However, it doesn’t guarantee a new model with the exact name, but it is possible that the Indian two-wheeler maker is developing a sportier variant of its Chetak electric scooter. What is intriguing is that the automaker has been seen testing a similar vehicle recently.
Bajaj Auto may unveil the new Vector as a rebadged model of the Husqvarna Vektorr. The brand is also expected to export the upcoming new scooter to international markets as well.
