He said, “The world’s first CNG-powered motorcycle is due next month. It halves the running costs compared to petrol-run bikes. It’s a fantastic innovation.”

The upcoming CNG-powered bike is expected to come equipped with single-channel ABS or combi-braking. As of now, the two-wheeler giant has not revealed the name of the new CNG model. Bajaj Auto India recently launched its flagship Pulsar NS400Z in the Indian market. The motorcycle is available at an introductory price of INR 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the new bike are currently open for a token amount of INR 5,000. The homegrown manufacturer will begin the delivery process in June.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed unit with a slip-and-assist clutch. Bajaj is also offering riding modes, ride-by-wire, traction control, and ABS modes.
