Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the 2022 Baleno facelift in the next few days in the Indian market. The pre-bookings for the hatchback have already started at a token payment of Rs 11,000 both online and offline in the country. The 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift features will be never-seen-before and they have been revealed by the company in the recently released teaser video on social media platforms. It will be at loggerheads with the likes of Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo in India.
To start with, the 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift will come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The current version is available with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto but the Smartphone needs to be paired to the infotainment system with a cable. Furthermore, the new Baleno will get a first-in-segment HUD (Heads-Up Display) feature which will allow customers to drive without having to take their eyes off the road by conveniently displaying important information from speedometer and climate control. The touchscreen unit is also expected to be larger than the current version. It could be a 9-inch screen for the infotainment along with Suzuki Connect feature and Alexa voice commands.
The range-topping variants of the 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift are expected to get a 360-degree camera as standard safety feature. The aforementioned feature is generally seen on high-end premium vehicles. Mechanically, the new hatchback will not see any major update as it will continue to carry the same 1.2L K-Series dual jet, dual VVT petrol engine with Idle Start-Stop function. The transmission choices will include a manual as well as automatic unit. It will be offered in four trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The 2022 Baleno facelift will be available in six paint schemes namely Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Celestial Blue, Opulent Red and Luxe Beige.
