TVS Jupiter is one of the popular scooters in India with a starting price of Rs 63,602 (ex-showroom). The new BS6 model delivers 15 percent more mileage than the older model. Currently, the company offers Jupiter in four variants in the Indian market - Base, ZX, ZX Disc and Classic. Being available in eight different colours, BS6 TVS Jupiter comes with Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) for alerting the riders in case of any malfunction. With a storage capacity of 21-litres, the senior citizens will have ample space for storing groceries as well as shopping bags. The scooter is powered by a single-cylinder, 4 strokes, fuel injection engine which delivers 7.37 bhp of top power and 8.4 Nm of peak torque. A CVT automatic unit handles the transmission duties. There is a kick as well as an electric self for starting the scooter.
Suzuki Burgman Street is currently making waves in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 79,700 (Ex-Showroom, India), it comes with Flexible Foot Position for the riders. This is a big help for senior citizens in their commutation. Key features include Aluminium Pillion Footrest, 21.5-litre storage space, 2-litre glove box and DC-Socket in for Glovebox for charging. Suzuki Burgman Street is powered by a 125cc, 4-stroke air-cooled engine which generates 8.5 bhp of maximum power output and 10 Nm of peak torque performance. Transmission duties are handled by a CVT unit. The process of starting the scooter is quite easy with the option of Kick and electric starter.
Earlier this year, TVS launched the BS6 compliant Zest 110 at Rs 58,640 (ex-showroom). The scooter is retailed in Himalayan High Series & Matte. The new scooter is sold in six colour schemes - Red, Blue, Purple, Black, Yellow, and Turquoise Blue. Riders will love the large under-seat storage of 19 litres. The other key highlights are Textured Floorboard, Front Telescopic suspension, Anti-Skid Suspension system and Parking brake. Talking about the performance, the scooter is powered by a single-cylinder, 4-Stroke, Air-Cooled Spark Ignition engine which churns out 7.7 bhp of power and 8.8Nm of peak torque.
Earlier, Hero Motorcorp had the Maestro Edge 110 variant running thoroughly across the two-wheeler market but in 2022, it was discontinued. Within that period, the company launched Hero Maestro Edge 125 in 2018 in 4 variants and 6 stunning colour options. The variant is priced between INR 80,616-85,066 (ex-showroom, Delhi). You get projector LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, fully digital meter, bluetooth connectivity, and hero connect(in-built) but here connect doesn’t come in all variants. The scooter is equipped with a 12V- 4Ah ETZ5 battery. This scooter can be optimal for both youngsters and senior citizens because of the broad seat, feet-space, spacious boot and much more. The BS6 compliant Honda Dio's starting price is Rs 61497 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The scooter comes in two variants - STD and DLX. The scooter is packed with features like Engine Stop/Start Switch, Side Stand Engine Cut-Off, Retractable Pillion Foot-Step, Front Pocket & Underseat Storage. BS6 Honda Dio is powered by a 109.5cc fan cooled, 4 Stroke, SI engine. The scooter belts out 7.65 bhp of top power and 9 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a V-Matic transmission system. There is also Kick/Self for starting the scooter.
