One of India's leading SUV manufacturers, Tata Motors, has finally rolled out the much-awaited Tata Curvv EV Coupe in the Indian market on August 7, 2024. The auto giant officially showcased the Curvv internal combustion engine (ICE) version at today's launch event. The all-new Curvv ICE will be launched in the country on September 2, 2024. In the compact SUV segment, it will directly rival the likes of the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and the new-gen Citroen Basalt.

Tata Motors will offer the Curvv ICE in four different variants: Pure, Smart, Accomplished, and Creative. The Curvv ICE features a different design language compared to its EV counterpart. The ICE version houses a grille for the powertrain. It rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels and gets flush door handles for better aerodynamics. The all-new Tata Curvv will be offered in six color schemes: Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Flame, Pure Grey, Opera Blue, and Gold Essence.

The Tata Curvv ICE draws power from three engine options: a 1.5-litre diesel, a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, and a new 1.2-litre GDi turbo-petrol engine. At the launch event of the Tata Curvv EV Coupe SUV, the homegrown automaker introduced the new Hyperion engine, which is a 1.2-litre GDi turbocharged petrol unit powering the ICE-powered Curvv. The engine churns maximum out power of 124 bhp and 225 Nm of peak torque.

The Curvv also features a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine that churns out a maximum output power of 119 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. Then there is the 1.5-litre Kyrotec diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 117 bhp and a peak torque of 260 Nm. The unit is paired with either a 7-speed dual-clutch AT transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox. Notably, the Tata Curvv SUV is the first car in the segment to feature a dual-clutch AT transmission along with a diesel powertrain.
