Ola became the electric two-wheeler market leader in April this year.
Ola Electric is all set to open the next purchase window for S1 & S1 Pro on May 21. The brand had opened the purchase window earlier this year between March 17 and 18. It was also announced that the prices of the scooter will see a hike whenever the next purchase window opens. Having said that, we can expect electric scooters to become more expensive. Currently, Ola S1 and S1 Pro costs Rs 85,099 and Rs 1,10,149 (all prices, ex-showroom) respectively. All the buyers who have got the reservations done during the last purchase window will get a chance to order the e-scooters first. The company has not revealed for how long the window will remain open this time around.
Talking about the Ola S1 and S1 Pro in detail, the ola electric scooters come equipped with a plethora of features. These include a mood display, 3 GB Ram, navigation, voice assist, speakers for music, reverse assist, hill hold control, smartphone pairing, and cruise control. It further gets a large 7-inch TFT instrument console with touchscreen function.
Performance-wise, the Ola Electric S1 draws its power from a 2.98 kWh battery. Furthermore, it can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in just 3.6 seconds and comes with a top speed of 90 kmph. The Ola S1 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by a 3.97 kWh battery. The e-scooter can do a 0-40 kmph sprint in a mere 3 seconds. The top speed here stands at 115 kmph. However, both e-scooters can generate a top power of 11.4 bhp and a peak torque of 58 Nm. Moving on, the Ola S1 and S1 Pro offers a range of 121 kms and 181 kms, respectively on a single charge.
As for the charging time, Ola S1 takes 4.48 hours to get fully pumped up with the help of a 750W portable charger using a 5A socket at home or office. While Ola S1 Pro can be fully charged in 6.30 hours under the same set up. Ola had introduced a new Gerua color for the S1 Pro on the occasion of Holi in the country. Besides this color, the electric scooter is offered in a total of 10 color options.
