Hero MotoCorp, one of India’s biggest motorcycle and scooter manufacturers, has launched the new-generation Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 in the Indian market. The Hero Splendor is the world’s highest-selling bike, and the latest edition celebrates the 30th anniversary of this iconic model. Hero is offering the new-generation Splendor in three dual-tone paint schemes: Gloss Black, Matte Grey, and Gloss Red. The 2024 Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 is priced at INR 82,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new-generation Hero Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 comes equipped with many premium features, including a new H-shaped signature taillight and LED headlamp, followed by a high-intensity position lamp (HIPL). The new model retains the same silhouette integrated into the standard Hero Splendor motorcycle.

The Hero Splendor Plus XTEC 2.0 packs a digital speedometer along with an eco-indicator. The motorcycle gets a new instrument console that features a Real-Time Mileage Indicator (RTMI) and Bluetooth connectivity for battery alerts, SMS, and calls. Hero has updated the latest edition with new amenities like a USB charging port, hazard lights, a larger glovebox, and hazard lights for an enhanced riding experience. The motorcycle gets tubeless tyres to prevent deflation in the event of punctures.

Powering the Splendor+ XTEC is a 100-cc engine that generates 7.9 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The unit packs the Idle Stop Start System (i3S), which provides a certified fuel efficiency of 73 kmpl. On the hardware front, the motorcycle gets telescopic front forks, a drum brake at both ends, and dual rear springs. In the commuter bike segment, the Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 rivals the likes of the Honda Shine 100 and Bajaj Platina 100.
