Hyundai India has launched its first N product - the i20 N Line - at a starting price of Rs 9.84 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The high-performance hatchback has been introduced in three variants namely N6 iMT, N8 iMT and N8 DCT in the Indian market. Hyundai i20 N Line can also be availed in a dual tone paint shade at a premium of Rs 15,000 over the standard pricing. The brand is offering 3 Years of Road-Side Assistance and Blue Link Subscription free of cost with the hatchback in India.
Hyundai i20 N Line Design & Features
Retaining the overall design of the standard hatch, Hyundai i20 N Line comes with a myriad of sporty elements to match its exhilarating performance. Upfront, there is a dual-tone bumper with a Chequered flag inspired grille, red colored skid plate and disc brake caliper. It rides on 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels that flaunt the N logo while the rear end boasts of a dual exhaust system, Z-shaped LED tail lamps, tailgate spoiler and Dark chrome connecting tail lamp garnish. The i20 N Line comes in 4 single tone colour schemes namely Thunder blue (New & Exclusive), Fiery red, Titan grey and Polar white. In addition, there are a couple of dual tone colour options too in the form of Thunder blue with Phantom black roof and Fiery red with Phantom black roof.
Inside the cabin, one can find a plethora of elements such as 3-spoke steering wheel, leather wrapped gear knob and chequered flag designed leather seats with N logo embossed on them. The company has also equipped the hatch with red ambient lights while the all-black upholstery also gets red inserts. The centre console houses the 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment & navigation system with Hyundai Blue Link and Voice commands. Some other notable features include Smart entry with push button start/stop, Wireless charger with cooling pad, Fully automatic air conditioner and Bose Premium 7 Speaker System. As far as safety is concerned, it comes with 6-airbags, Electronic stability control (ESC) with VSM, Hill assist control (HAC), Rear camera with dynamic guidelines, and Tyre pressure monitoring system.
The hatch is powered by a 1.0L T-GDi petrol engine which will deliver top power of 118 bhp at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 172 Nm between 1500-4000 rpm. The engine is available with a 6-speed iMT gearbox and a 7-speed DCT automatic unit. The latter is offered with paddle shifters while the former comes with cruise control feature as standard. There is no manual gearbox on offer.
