Hyundai India has announced the formation of a 'Relief Task Force' to support the flood affected customers in Southern state of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. The company is providing free of cost roadside assistance for all the vehicles affected by the flood in these states. In addition, a 50 percent discount is offered on depreciation amount on insurance claims of flood affected vehicles. The customers whose Hyundai cars and SUVs have been affected by the floods can reach out at the brand's customer care helpline number - 18001024645.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Tarun Garg, Director – Sales, Marketing & Service said, “Taking inspiration from our global vision of Progress for Humanity, Hyundai is committed towards customers’ vehicle ownership journey. During these adverse times we have ramped up our service support to flood affected customers in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry. This contribution is Hyundai’s way of expressing solidarity with the people of flood affected areas, as they rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the recent floods. Our relief teams will continue to extend support to ensure customers’ peace of mind.” Hyundai has also deployed a dedicated Emergency Roadside Assistance Service Team to support the customers.
Recently, the South-Korean automaker introduced its new brand campaign - ‘Beyond Mobility', reinforcing Hyundai’s commitment towards the need of Indian Sustainable Socials. Being based on Hyundai’s Global Vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’ the new brand campaign has been developed on three pillars – Intelligent Technology, Sustainability and Innovation. Hyundai's manufacturing facility at Chennai is almost self-sustainable in terms of its reliance on water. 100 percent rainwater harvesting is practiced at the Chennai production unit. With 6 ponds providing a total water storage capacity of 3.35 lakh kilo liters, Hyundai aims at absolute self-sustenance – targeting zero external water dependency by 2025. In addition to that, 89 percent of the plant’s reliance is on renewable forms of energy.
