Nissan India has announced the appointment of Frank Torres as the new President of its operations in the country, effective from April 1, 2022. He will be replacing Sinan Özkök who handled the launch of Nissan Magnite in India and its export to various global markets. Özkök has been elevated to the position of Vice President for Marketing and Sales Transformation and Managing Director for Independent Markets in the Nissan AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania) region. Sinan Özkök will be based in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France.
In his new role, Özkök will directly report to Leon Dorssers, Senior Vice President for Marketing and Sales AMIEO. Torres has also been appointed as the Region Divisional Vice President for Business Transformation in the AMIEO region. He will report to Guillaume Cartier, Nissan AMIEO Chairperson and keep up with his current responsibilities overseeing Nissan’s European Regional Business Unit East (Russia) and Nissan’s Spanish Industrial Operations. “This is an exciting time for Nissan in the AMIEO region and for the Indian market. The launch of Magnite from our Chennai plant has given our customers in India and beyond a taste of what Nissan can offer and under our Ambition 2030 vision we are looking forward to bringing further innovation and excitement to the market,” Torres said.
The company has appointed Atsushi Najima as the new Chief Financial Officer of Nissan India. He was previously the Managing Director of Nissan Philippines. He will be reporting directly to Mohamed Aly, Director Control AMIEO, with a dotted line to Frank Torres, Region Divisional Vice President, AMIEO Business Transformation and Alliance AMIEO, and President India Operations. Atushi will be filling in the shoes of Mark Davidson who has moved back to MC Americas as CFO COMPAS manufacturing plant in Mexico. He will be evenly dividing his time between New Delhi and Chennai.
