Honda Two-Wheeler India has been a leader in the automatic scooter segment. It has also updated certain models in its line-up to meet the BS6 Emission Norms. Currently, the company is offering three scooters in the BS6 version in the Indian market namely Activa 6g, Activa 125, and Dio 2020. Out of these, 6g and 125 have been the best sellers in the Activa range. Also, earlier the brand was selling the premium iterations of the Activa range in the form of Grazia 125. However, it did not update the Grazia 125 to meet the BS6 norms and discontinued the model. However just today, Honda has released a teaser video of Grazia 125, thus confirming its up-gradation to the BS6 format. The teaser video gives us a fair idea of what all changes have been made on the scooter in terms of design.
According to the video, the Grazia will sport an all-new design theme. The scooter is likely to feature LED DRLs placed at the top with LED headlights placed below it, giving it a sporty look. The rear end of the scooter will get a sport tail light and split grab rails. Apart from this, the scooter will get alloy wheels and a front disc brake as standard. The BS6 Honda Grazia will come equipped with a plethora of features. These will include a digital speedometer with Eco and Sport indications. However, the scooter retains the overall design of the speedometer except that the BS6 model will get a different backlight.
As for the engine specifications, the BS6 Honda Grazia 125 will get the same powertrain found on the Activa 125. It will draw power from a 124cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that produces 8.17 bhp power and 10.3 Nm torque. The motor will be linked to a CVT gearbox. The engine will also comes with Honda’s patented silent start technology called ‘A Quiet Revolution’.
The launch of the BS6 Honda Grazia 125 is yet not been confirmed. However, it is being expected that the scooter will be priced Rs 3000 - Rs 4000 more than the Activa 125. Once launched, it is likely to compete against the likes of TVS Ntorq 125.
