Audi Q7 Facelift Local Production Begins Ahead of Official Launch

Audi India has commenced the local production of the Q7 facelift at its SAVWIPL plant in Aurangabad. The German automaker is all set to launch the vehicle in January 2022 in the country. The ‘Made-in-India’ SUV comes with a host of changes both outside and inside. 

Cosmetically, the India-spec Audi Q7 facelift flaunts a bigger Single frame grille with an upright chrome slats. In addition, it features sleeker Matrix LED headlamps with LED DRLs, redesigned bumper, alloy wheels, and split air inlets. In terms of dimensions, the upcoming SUV stands at 5063mm in length, 1970mm in width, and 1741mm in height. Furthermore, it gets a 2995mm wheelbase. 

The cabin of the 2022 Audi Q7 facelift will come equipped with a plethora of features. These include a flat bottom steering wheel, power-assist doors, Bang & Olufsen 3D Advanced sound system, four-zone automatic climate control, air quality package, among many others. However, the biggest feature highlight will be the redesigned dashboard and the integrated twin-touchscreen Audi MMI infotainment system housed in the centre console.

Performance-wise, the Audi Q7 facelift is likely to come equipped with a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine that is capable of returning 338 bhp power and 500 Nm peak torque. The motor is linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The engine further gets a 48V mild-hybrid electrical system.
