Renault just launched India's most affordable 7-seater car that starts from Rs. 6.29 lacs (ex-showroom). It has a flexible seating configuration with a compact footprint (under 4 meters in length).
Renault will also launch the Kiger (a sub-compact SUV) in 2025, which has the same platform as Triber and Magnite. The budget-friendly Triber competes with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota Rumion, Maruti Suzuki XL6, and Kia Carens.
The new Triber Rs. 6.29 lacs and goes up to Rs. 9.16 lacs. Renault has also revised the variant nomenclature for the Triber, and they are Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.
Here's a breakdown of the ex-showroom prices of this MPV:
The AMT automatic transmission is available only on the top-spec 'Emotion' variant.
Renault India also offers a standard warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. The company also offers comprehensive extended warranty packages under its "Renault Secure" program. It allows extension of warranty up to a maximum of 7 years or unlimited kilometers.
This new sub-compact 7-seater MPV brings mainly cosmetic updates, but the powertrain remains the same. It continues to be powered by the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 71 bhp of maximum power and 96 Nm of peak torque.
It also retains the 5-speed manual transmission and the 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) options. The manufacturer-approved dealer-level retrofitted CNG kit option continues to be available.
