The current generation of Z4 was launched in 2019 in India and is available in the M40i variant. This variant has the same platform as that of the Toyota Supra.
This fresh roadster car edition has a new transmission, updated colors, and a staggered wheel size. The manual and automatic trims of this edition are priced at Rs. 96.90 lacs and Rs. 97.90 lacs, respectively.
The sports car gets unique upgrades for the Indian market. It offers two transmission options. The first is the 6-speed manual transmission, which features M-specific components for enhanced feel. The second is the 8-speed quick-shifting Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.
The MT upgrade comes with the retuned chassis to complement the manual gearbox and enhance the overall driving experience. It has now refined software control for the adaptive dampers, variable sport steering adjustments, tweaks to the traction control and M Sport differential, new auxiliary springs on both axles, and a stiffer stabiliser clamp at the front.
The second major upgrade is the staggered wheel setup, which has 19-inch M light alloy wheels at the front and 20-inch M light alloy wheels at the rear.
The third upgrade is the launch of two new metallic color options of Frozen Deep Green and Sanremo Green.
