Triumph has again teased the 2024 Daytona 660 ahead of its global debut on January 9, 2024. The British manufacturer has posted a short clip of the upcoming motorcycle on its social media handles. The middleweight sports tourer is partially visible in the video. The bike’s exhaust note is the most distinct part of the teaser. The manufacturer has teased this motorcycle several times overseas. It looks like the company is planning to resurrect the iconic Daytona nameplate with a new bike that will be revealed on January 9.

The new Daytona 660 will replace the outgoing Daytona Moto2 765, which has already replaced the original Daytona 675 in the company’s international portfolio. The upcoming Daytona will be powered by the 660-cc engine, which is also equipped in Trident and Tiger Sport. The engine is a 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit that churns out maximum power of 80 bhp at 10,250 rpm and peak torque of 64 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, along with a slip and assist clutch. The company might also retune the engine according to the new Daytona 660.

Triumph is expected to offer upgraded features in the Daytona 660, including the same instrument cluster equipped on other 660 bikes. Additionally, the Daytona 660 is likely to have two riding modes: road and rain, bi-directional quickshifter, and traction control. The upcoming motorcycle will get a sporty look. It also gets the same headlamp setup as the Tiger Sport 660. Instead of a half fairing, the new Daytona 660 utilizes a full fairing, just like the Tiger Sport 660.

The Daytona 660 is likely to come with the same underpinnings as the Trident 660. The suspension setup is done with upside-down forks up front and a monoshock at the back. For braking duties, it gets a disc at both ends. The new motorcycle will get the same switchgear and lever used for the Trident and Tiger Sport. The motorcycle is expected to roll on 17-inch front and back alloy wheels.
