Kia Sonet had its global unveil last week in India. The subcompact SUV is expected to launch in the Indian market during the festive season around October 2020. However, ahead of the launch, the company has revealed the variants and color options for the Sonet on its official website. It will be introduced in two trim levels: Tech Line and GT line. It has been learnt that Kia Sonet will be introduced in seven common variants in both the Tech Line and GT Line trims namely HTE, HTK, HTX, HTX , GTK, GTX and GTX .

Kia Sonet Tech Line interior will be finished in dual tone black and beige theme while the GT Line trim will have an all-black upholstery with red accents. Though, both the trim levels will be introduced in a total of ten common color options. There will be seven single tone color choices: Glacier White Pearl, Steel Silver, Gravity Grey, Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, ‘Intelligency’ Blue and Beige Gold. There will also be three dual-tone exterior shades in the form of Red Black, White Pearl Black and Beige Gold Black. Recently, the Sonet GT Line was spotted in a Punchy Orange paint scheme, which we have already seen with the Seltos, but surprisingly it has not been listed on the website.

Kia Motors India had revealed several features of the Sonet subcompact SUV at the time of unveileing and they include electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, 7-speaker Bose audio, 4.2-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, Smart Pure air purifier and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and UVO Connectivity suite. Mechanically, it will be presented with a total of three engines: a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5L turbocharged diesel and a 1.0L turbo petrol unit. There will be a total of five transmission options: a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, iMT (AMT), a 6-speed torque converter automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
