Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain, has commissioned a special edition of the XJ6, which Jaguar's Classic division has created ahead of the model’s 50th anniversary next year. The car features a built-in infotainment screen, LED headlights and push-button start.
The Classics division spent over 3,500 hours working on this model. McBrain’s XJ6 is the first bespoke publicised project by the division – the team usually is associated with period-accurate restorations. The car also has a custom Jaguar growler logo put on the steering wheel and wheel centre caps.
To tell it apart from the factory XJ6s, there is custom body work, there’s also modern upholstery in red, and the car even offers features like remote central locking, reversing camera and a 1,100W sound system. Under the hood, there are three 2-inch SU carburettors, which the drummer requested.
The updated SUV will come in three trim options: Inspire Comfort, Inspire Sport, and Bespoke Q Creations. ...
The auto marque first unveiled these models at the Volkswagen Annual Brand Conference 2024, held in March. ...
