New BMW 7-Series customisation options revealed

BMW recently launched the next gen 7-Series sedan in the international market. The brand went on to style the car quite boldly with massive kidney grilles. While many loved the design developments on the new 7-Series, there were many who criticised it and some who even hate it. However, BMW has now revealed customisation options so customers can personalise their 7-Series as per their liking.

BMW released a set of pictures showcasing a new 745e, the plug-in hybrid version of the 7-Series sedan equipped with both the M Sport and BMW Individual Shadow Line packages. The car looks absolutely stunning with the exterior shade finished pearl white with black trim. The car sheds all the chrome and is accentuated with a lot of gloss-black trim instead. The wheels, grille and the window frames all get the gloss-black treatment.

The 745e is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight six petrol engine in combination with an electric motor. It produces 394 HP of peak power and helps catapult the huge sedan from 0-100 km/hr in just 5.2 seconds. It can also be driven for up to 58 kms on electric power only.

The updated 7-Series will also be available with a choice of two petrol and three diesel engines, all of them turbocharged. The 750i uses a 4.4-litre V8 engine that produces 530 HP while the M760i has a 6.6-litre V12 good for 585 HP. The diesel powered 7-Series sedans are powered by the same 3.0-litre straight six engine in three different states of tune, 730d at 265 HP, the 740d at 320 HP and the 750d at 400 HP.
