Ather 450X Launched at Rs. 99,000 in India

Ather 450X has been launched at Rs 99,000 (ex-showroom) in India.

Ather Energy has launched a more powerful version of its electric scooter called 450X. Prices for Ather 450X scooter start at Rs 99,000 (ex-showroom) India. Offered basically in two variants - Ather 450X Plus and Ather 450X Pro, the scooter has a monthly subscription cost involved as well. But before we get to that let us share with you that due to the subsidies being handed out under the EV policy, Delhi prices of Ather 450X are on the lower side starting at Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom). Now coming back to the subscription part, cost for Ather 450X Plus will be Rs 1699 per month while Ather 450X Pro will come to Rs 1999 per month. Putting all of this into perspective, one time price for Ather 450X Plus would be Rs 1.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) India meanwhile Ather 450X Pro would stand at Rs 1.59 lakhs (ex-showroom) India. Delhi price for Ather 450X Plus is Rs 1.35 lakhs (ex-showroom) with Ather 450X Pro at Rs 1.45 lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively.
 
Mainly an updated version of Ather 450, Ather 450X has been introduced with 2 new colour options that include Mint Green and Matt Grey that will now sell alongside the current White Shade. As per Ather Energy, bookings are now open across multiple cities with deliveries commencing sometime in July this year.
 
Competing with TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Okinawa iPraise in the electric scooter segment, Ather 450X has quite a few updates in relation to its battery pack. It is said to have been redesigned to offer 2.9 kWh as compared earlier to 2.71 kWh that was being provided on Ather 450. As a result performance of Ather 450X has marginally gone up by 0.8 bhp to give a final power output figure of 8bhp. The peak torque in its case has also risen from 6 Nm to 26 Nm. With a top speed of 85 kmph, Ather 450X can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 3.3 seconds. The company has also gone ahead and done a weight reduction of about 11 kgs that results in an improved range. In Eco Mode 450X is said to have a range of about 85 kms while in Ride Mode it can achieve a distance of 75 kms.
