2021 Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift

Toyota Motor Corporation is all set to give a facelift to Innova Crysta towards the end of this year. Popularly known as Innova or Kijang Innova in the International market, the MPV was first launched in November 2015. The MPV will complete its 5 years in the market in November this year. It is being expected that Indonesia will be the first market to see the facelifted version of Innova in the showrooms. However, the launch of the facelift version of the MPV is likely to take place in mid-2021. In a new development, a speculative rendering gives us a fair idea of how the upcoming 2021 Innova Crysta Facelift will look.

As per the rendering image, the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift takes design inspiration from the 2021 Toyota Sienna. It has a totally new front fascia. Design highlights include a new layout, new LED headlamps, a split grille layout with a small upper grille and a larger lower grille, LED fog lamp housings, and a new front bumper. On the sides, it will feature new alloy wheels. Towards the rear, the MPV is likely to get new tail lights and a new bumper.

As for the interior, the 2021 Innova Crysta Facelift will come equipped with a plethora of features. These will comprise of a gesture-controlled tailgate, wireless smartphone charging, 360-degree camera, and Apple Car Play & Andriod Auto. In some international markets, the MPV might get safety features like a pre-collision system, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure warning.

Under the skin, the Innova Facelift is likely to be powered by the same set of engines. In India currently, it draws power from a 2.4-litre diesel and 2.7-litre petrol units. The 2.8-litre diesel engine that was discontinued with the advent of BS6 Emission Norms is likely to make a re-entry in a cleaner and slightly more powerful format.
