Automobile Industry is getting back on its feet after a turbulent 2020. Coronavirus pandemic battered the industry for the last few months but the buzz is back again as automakers have started launching new models. 2021 BMW M5 Facelift was revealed on June 17 via digital medium with the market launching happening later this year. The German luxury automaker had revealed the facelifted version of BMW 5 series earlier and now the M5 and M5 Competition gets subtle design changes. The new M5 comes with subtle changes on the design front.  It gets new elements in headlights and taillights with the former getting a major overhaul with L-shaped pattern replacing the circular or square units. The 2020 BMW M5 facelift looks sharper due to the creases at the corner.

There are a host of new features and colour updates in the M5 facelift. It comes equipped with a new 12.3-inch infotainment display replacing the 10.25-inch unit with support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, natural speech recognition and cloud-based navigation. The new colour schemes offered with the 2021 BMW M5 facelift are Motegi Red, Brands Hatch Grey, Individual Aventurine Red, Frozen Bluestone and Tanzanite Blue II. The cabin looks refreshed with leather dual-tone black and beige Alcantara upholstery. The M5 competition is slightly expensive and looks premium with all-black trim pieces.

Performance-wise, the M5 facelift doesn’t get a major revamp as it is powered by the same Twin-Turbo V8 engine churning out 600bhp of maximum power and 750Nm of peak torque. The M5 competition, on the other hand, delivers 617bhp of maximum torque and 750 Nm of peak torque. The M5 base variant suspension remains the same as before while the M5 Competition is equipped with new shocks and adjustable suspension system. BMW M5 Competition comes equipped with a new driving mode called "Track." By switching on the Track mode, the car shuts down the driver aids, infotainment system and any audio. The idea behind the track mode is to enable the driver to be focused on driving.
