Skoda Vision X

The Czech carmaker, Skoda came to India in the year 2001 and established the Skoda Auto India Pvt Ltd which was later bought by the Volkswagen group. The company has established its manufacturing facility near Aurangabad in Maharashtra that has a manufacturing capacity of 89,000 vehicles annually. 

As of now, there are 83 Skoda Car dealers that are spread in across 70 cities in India. The Skoda Octavia was the first car that was the first car to be built in the year 2002. The car was an instant hit among the Indian customers as the car had a good built quality, responsive handling and have decent mileage of 13- 18kmpl. The Octavia made Skoda name popular in the Indian car market.   But the car had expensive maintenance and running cost that did not go well in the market. Due to this Skoda’s popularity took a hit.

While Skoda has worked hard in addressing these issues and is getting better day by day. As of now, Skoda Rapid is the top-selling model for the company. The Aurangabad facility is shared with Audi that assembles its cars sold in the country as CKS’s.The Skoda Fabia was also manufactured at the facility until the model was discontinued to the bad response in the car market.

The Skoda’s flagship car at the moment is the Skoda Kodiaq which cost ₹ 34.5 Lacs Onwards. The Skoda Rapid is turning out to be a good car model for the company. 

 As of the year 2019, there are currently 7 Skoda car models in the country which are Skoda Rapid that is priced in the range of ₹ 8.22 - ₹ 13.58 Lacs,

Skoda Octavia  that is priced in the range ₹ 10.78 - ₹ 27 Lacs, Skoda Vision X that is priced at ₹ 14 Lacs Onwards, Skoda Karoq that is priced at ₹ 20 Lacs Onwards, Skoda Superb that is priced at ₹ 21.4 - ₹  34.5  Lacs, Skoda Yeti that is priced at ₹ 23.34 Lacs Onwards, Skoda Kodiaq that is priced at ₹ 34.5 Lacs Onward.

Skoda car price in India starts from ₹ 8.22 Lakhs which is the ex-showroom price of their most inexpensive car Skoda Rapid. The highest Skoda car model is priced at ₹ 34.5 Lacs which is the ex-showroom price of their most expensive car Skoda  Kodiaq.

The cheapest car model is Skoda Rapid that can be obtained as low as Rs. 8.22 Lakhs. The Skoda Rapid is available in only 17 trims which starts at the range of Rs 8.22lacs which goes up to Rs 13.58 lacs which is the price of Monte Carlo 1.5 Tdi Automatic diesel variant.

Skoda Cars Specifications

Skoda cars are available both in petrol and Diesel Variant. The power figures in Skoda Cars range from 103bhp of Skoda Rapid to 148 bhp of power of Skoda  Kodiaq. The engine displacement figures range from 1598 cc of Skoda Rapid to the 1968cc engine of Skoda  Kodiaq. The Skoda Rapid has the highest fuel efficiency in its line-up that has a fuel efficiency of 22kmpl.

As per the latest information available from the brand side, there are six Skoda new car models that will be launched in the year 2019-2020. The upcoming Cars are Skoda Superb 2019 that will be priced at Rs. 25.00 lakh Onwards, Skoda Octavia 2020 that will be priced at Rs. 20.00 lakh Onwards,  Skoda Karoq that will be priced at Rs. 20.00 lakh Onwards,Skoda Vision X that will be priced at Rs. 14.00 lakh Onwards, Skoda Scala that will be priced at Rs. 12.00 lakh Onwards, Skoda Citigo whose price will be announced soon.

The Skoda car on road price starts from the 11.86 lacs that is the on road price for Skoda Rapid. While on the other hand, the on -road price of its most costly car Skoda  Kodiaq is Rs. 38.07 lacs.
