Kia is a Korean carmaker company, that offers a range of passenger vehicles in many major countries and maintain their price ranges at a moderate rate as they value for money. Kia started their journey in the initial level in 1944, by manufacturing steel tubes and bicycle parts only. Then they were not into car manufacturing. Later in 1962, it started manufacturing and selling Mazda-licensed trucks and then in 1974, they started manufacturing Kia cars. In this way, slowly and steadily, they entered the automotive industry.
When it entered India, it came as a sister concern of the Hyundai Motor Group. Kia announced that they are aiming to enter India by April 2017. They set up the manufacturing facility in Anantapur, the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh. But still it is not functional. It is expected that the plant will be operational by 2019, and it will have the capacity to manufacture 3 lakh units annually. Kia cars are targeting the Indian automobile industry with a long list of 15 Kia new cars right from entry-level hatchbacks to premium crossovers.
By 2021, the brand will aim to launch 5 Kia new cars in India. The first car will be a midsize crossover based on the SP Concept which was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo.

Kia Car Reviews
Kia cars are going to compete with Audi and Mercedes. One of its high-end models Kia Stinger GT will compete with Audi’s S5 and Mercedes-AMG’s C43, as it will be a ‘halo’ product of the brand. But still Kia cars will be targeting the mainstream segment in the Indian automotive industry.
