Renault India Pvt. Ltd. is fully owned subsidiary of Renault S.A, France. The company manufactures engine and vehicles with its product range spread from commercial sedans/passenger cars, SUVs, crossover SUVs, MPVs/ MUVs, hatchbacks, events like Formula One, Formula E and rallying.

Renault currently produces five car models in the Indian car market, the SUV Duster, the compact MPV Lodgy, budget car Kwid and the latest crossover Captur. Renault India is also an exporter of the Duster model to many right-hand drive car markets.  The car are manufactures at the facility established at Oragadam, Chennai that have the capability to produce 480,000 units in a year.   

The Renault car models are well- known and well-recognized automobile manufacturer in the Indian market.

The company launched its first car model Renault Fluence in the year 2011, later in the year 2012 the company launched Pulse, Scala and Duster. The company received mild to moderate selling response as the company reached a milestone of 1 lac car in the Indian market in less than 3 years of operation in India.

Later in the year 2015, Renault launched its most affordable hatchback car called Kwid.

The Renault Duster is one of the most loved cars in the company product line.

The Duster model won over the Indian SUV lovers completely and within an  year of its launch the car grabbed a 23% of the segment market share.

Renault car price in India starts from Rs. ₹ 2.67 Lakhs which is the ex-showroom price of their most inexpensive car Renault Kwid. The highest Renault car model is priced at 28.59 Lakhs which is the ex-showroom price of their most expensive car Renault Koleos.

The company tasted success with its affordable hatchback car Kwid. Recently, the company sold more than 2.2 million units in India. The company boasts of 370 car dealerships across India. The car company has been continuously undertaking measures across key business dimensions that encompasses product, network expansion.

The cheapest car model Renault Kwid can be obtained as low as Rs. 2.67 lakhs. The car’s impact was immediate as it quickly became the top-selling car for Renault. The Renault Kwid is available in 23 models as of now as many other models have been discontinued by the automaker.  

The Renault Kwid variant starts with ₹2.67 Lacs and goes up to 4.63 lacs which comes with both manual transmissions, while some models are available in automatic transmission. but all variants are available in petrol variant only.

 The most expensive car model is Renault Koleos which mostly comes in both manual and automatic transmission, but all car models are available in diesel varmint only. The Renault Koleos is priced in the range of ₹ 24.19 - ₹ 28.59 Lacs.

Renault cars are available both in petrol and Diesel Variant. The power figures in Renault Cars range from 67 bhp of Renault Kwid to 170bhp for Renault Koleos. The engine displacement figures range from 999cc of Renault Kwid to 1995cc engine of Renault Koleos . The Renault Kwid has the highest fuel efficiency in their line-up that has fuel efficiency of 25kmpl.

Renault Latest Models

As per the latest information available from the brand side, three Renault new car models are going to be launched in the year 2019. The 3 upcoming Cars are Renault Triber which would be priced in the range at around 8lacs, Renault  Kwid EV which would be company’s firs electric vehicle in the Indian market which would be priced at  around 5 lacs, Renault  KWID 2019) that would be priced at just 2.8 lacs.

The Renault car on road price starts from ₹ 3.98 lacs for Renault Kwid to 22.7 lacs which the Pulse starts at a price tag of ₹7.6 lacs. The Scala car model on road price ranges from ₹ 7.94 - ₹ 9.39 Lacs. While on the other hand Reanult Duster ranges from ₹ 8.6 to ₹ 13.89 Lacs.
