About Lexus Cars

Toyota is the largest car manufacturing company in the world as it not only manufactures cars in large numbers, but it also owns many popular car brands. Lexus is one of the many divisions of Toyota and is regarded as Toyota’s luxury car division. Lexus being a luxury car brand is very much popular in the international markets. The company has a small portfolio with only 3 Lexus supercars in India. Lexus offers 2 car models in the Luxury segment and 1 in Super Luxury segment. Following are the car models by Lexus that are available in India.

  • Lexus RX: When the brand was introduced in the Indian market, the Lexus RX was one of the first cars that were launched by the Japanese car maker. Lexus RX is a mid-size five-seater SUV which is inspired from the Toyota Highlander crossover SUV. The unique spindle grille and the Toyota’s K-platform assembly give the car an aggressive look. The raked windshield that blends with the floating roof makes the car look sporty, while the edgy lines on the sides emanate the Macho aura. In terms of performance, the car is powered by 3.5-litre petrol V6 that generates the power upto 308bhp and torque upto 247 Nm. The interior of the car is decorated with electric sunroof, powered seats, reclining rear seats and cruise control.
  • Lexus LX: Back in the days when SUVs were trending cars of the streets, even then Lexus was one of the popular brands that was preferred by many. These cars were only available in the international markets and had to be imported, but as the brand now makes its way into the Indian market, it has a lot of surprises to be unveiled. One of the cars launched recently was the Lexus LX, from the looks of the car one can make out that the car is extremely powerful as it features kinked vertical grille at the front with horizontal slats that complement the swept LED headlamps. The vehicle houses a 4.5-litre V8 diesel engine with 270bhp horsepower and 650Nm torque which is assisted by the eight-speed automatic gearbox.
  • Lexus ES: After proving its mettle in the SUV segment, Lexus also manufactures luxury sedans that stand in competition with the likes of Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, the Volvo S90 and the Jaguar XF. The ES features the signature spindle grille on the front with LED headlamps. The car has a long cabin with a sloping roofline that merges into the boot lid. The interior of the car is designed with leather and features individual zone climate control, electric sunroof and auto-dimming electric mirrors. For power, the vehicle has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor that pumps power upto 200bhp. Even though its a luxury car, the Lexus ES offers mileage upto 17kmpl which seems quite impressive for cars in this segment.

Lexus cars are the ultimate style statement if you are looking for cars that bear the aggressive look. As the brand has not entirely established itself in India, there is a lot more that you can expect from the upcoming Lexus supercars.
