The Kia Sonet concept was showcased in February 2020. Kia launched this subcompact crossover SUV in August 2020 and from 18th September 2020, it was available for sale in the Indian market. Sonet is Kia's latest car model as of now. It has front and rear bumpers for other countries where its length has increased to 4,120 mm.
The Sonet finds itself just below the Seltos and competes with Hyundai Venue,Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford Ecosport. It is developed specifically for the Indian market.According to IndiaToday Kia Seltos, Sonet total sales at 1,35,295 units in 2020 which is really a big number.
It's another variant was introduced in Indonesia on April 2021 as "Sonet 7". It had a third-row bench seat installed and had no such exterior changes. This reduced the boot space to some extent. The Sonet 7 also features a roof-mounted air circular system and an updated second-row bench seat with split-folding. Since it is a 7 seater it has a similar door structure like Carnival i.e a one-touch folding mechanism.

Look and Feel
The Sonet has a tiger-nose grille with crown jewel LED headlamps at the sides. It gives the Sonet a more wild and aggressive look. At the back, there are heartbeat LED tail lamps which help maintain its distinctive character. There are two variants of Sonet - Tech Line and GT Line. It offers 17 trims. It has 7 solid colour options and three dual-tone colour options.

Interior and Accessories
The interiors are well decorated by LED sound mood lights to set up your mood for a wonderful drive. The infotainment system has a connected 10.25 inches HD touchscreen display and 4.2 inches colour display. You can connect your smartphone or smartwatch with the system using the UVO app and enjoy over 50 features. There is a sunroof which you can use with voice commands. The black coloured interiors look classy along with the seats which are placed perfectly. There are rear door sunshades pre-installed in this car to protect you from direct sunlight.
Verdict
The opening price of Sonet is pretty good but if you extend your budget a bit then you can get SUVs like Tata Nexon. Overall it is a good car if you have a fixed budget and the features are pretty good compared to the price tag.
