DC Design popularly known as DC is an Indian designing firm that also produces automobiles. The company was founded by Dilip Chabbria (Hence DC) in the year 1993. The company in its brief business life has produced only one car, i.e. the DC Avanti.
When it comes to design DC Avanti is surely a tough competitor to all the modern day cars. The name of the car is based on the American car Studebaker Avanti. It was unveiled at the Delhi car Expo in the year 2012 and is a coupe-styled sports car. The car looks a lot like the European cars Lamborghini and Ferrari. The DC cars have iconic style and are very popular on the Indian roads. As the Indian carmaker DC is known for modifying and redesigning cars, the Avanti stands as a perfect example of the maker’s excellence.
The car has been designed aerodynamically while the look of the car has also been kept in mind. The Avanti has a large black coloured sloping front grille with swept back powerful headlamp cluster with indicators. The massive black coloured air dam along with the body coloured bumper enhance the look even further. From the back, the car has a low hung profile that complements the front look that features a sloping windscreen, wraparound taillights and two chrome finished.
The interior of the car is great as the vehicle features the electrically controlled seats that are covered in leather upholstery. The interior of the car also includes the TFT monitor that allows the user to control various aspects of the car like cruise control, navigation, music and others by a touch of your finger. To make it better, the vehicle features a rearview camera that makes parking easy and effortless. The Avanti also includes an internal rear view mirror controller, wind deflector, music system and other features that can make your riding experience unforgettable.
DC Avanti features a 2.0-litre 16V Turbo Charged Engine that offers engine displacement upto 2000cc. The car has a 6-speed gearbox that generates power upto 250hp @ 5500rpm and maximum torque upto 340Nm@ 2750-5000rpm. With such powerful engine, the car also offers the top speed of 180 kmph and goes from 0-100 kmph in 8 seconds. The car is only available in Red Metallic colour.
