News Highlights

  • Kia is offering the Seltos GTX at a starting price of INR 18,99,900 (ex-showroom).
  • The automaker has unveiled the Smartstream G1.0 HTK variant for the Kia Sonet model.

In a bid to offer more feature-loaded variants to its customers, Kia India has updated its Seltos and Sonet SUV lineups by adding new variants. The company has also introduced an all-new X-line trim for both models. The Kia Seltos is now available in 21 variants, whereas the Sonet SUV now has 22 variants. Customers can now select from four new GTX trims with both diesel automatic and petrol DCT options. The automaker has unveiled the Smartstream G1.0 HTK variant for the Kia Sonet model. The new variant comes equipped with a turbocharged petrol engine. Interestingly, this is the first-ever turbo-petrol engine-powered Sonet that is priced under INR 10 lakh.

Recently, Kia introduced the GTX variant options for both the Seltos and Sonet SUVs. The new variant is positioned between the outgoing HTX+ and GTX+ models and features a range of additional features at an affordable price. Kia is offering the Seltos GTX at a starting price of INR 18,99,900 (ex-showroom), whereas the Sonet GTX is being offered at an introductory price of INR 13,70,900 (ex-showroom).

The Kia Seltos GTX variant comes equipped with new features, including a 360-degree camera and ADAS. These safety features are missing in the HTX variant. The Seltos X-Line is now being offered in a new Aurora Black Pearl color that complements the existing Matt Graphite option. Additionally, the top GTX+ variants now feature White Calipers and Solar Glass on both the back and front wheels.

The lower variants of the Kia Sonet are now loaded with modern features like a wireless phone charger, ISOFIX, washers, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and rear wipers. The Sonet GTX trim gets features like traction control modes, ventilated seats, an auto up/down safety window, a 360-degree camera, paddle shifters, and more. The newly launched GTX variants have further enhanced the value proposition of the Sonet GT Line trims.

The GTX variants of the Seltos and Sonet differ in a few significant ways. The Sonet GTX trim misses out on the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology, which is available in both the Seltos GTX and standard Sonet variants.

Commenting on the recent developments, the Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, Myung-sik Sohn, said, "Constant evolution and customer centricity have been the key to Kia's success in India. The product enhancements are part of the same strategy, offering our customers the latest technology, features, and best value for the money they spend. The introduction of GTX trims will not only offer our customers the thrill of driving a GT line but also keep them abreast of the latest and best automotive innovations packed in a car."
