  • Hyundai Creta pick-up takes styling cues from Santa Cruz
  • Currently, Isuzu D-Max V-Cross in the only pick-up available in India

Hyundai Creta has been one of the most successful models for the South-Korean brand in the Indian market. Currently in its second-generation, it has been a raging hit among the masses while ruling the compact SUV segment right from its launch in 2015. Recently, digital artist Kleber Silva imagined and rendered a pick-up truck version of the Creta. Just so you know, Hyundai had recently unveiled its first pick-up truck Santa Cruz which was based on the new-gen Tucson SUV and it will go on sale soon in the United States.

Going by the digitally rendered version, Hyundai Creta pick-up takes styling inspiration from Santa Cruz which is quite evident from the side and rear profiles. The front fascia is retained from the current-gen Creta as it flaunts the cascading grille, split headlamps and silver skid plate on the front bumper. Upon a closer look at the side profile, one can find ORVMs with turn indicators finished in silver color. In addition, there is black cladding around the wheel arches and beneath the doors. It is also equipped with body-coloured door handles and machine-cut alloy wheels, which have been borrowed from the Santa Cruz. Needless to say, it looks surreal and practical at the same time.

The rear end, resembling the Santra Cruz, has been elongated to make way for a loading bed. It boasts of a T-shaped LED tail-lamp cluster while the bumper has been blacked out with integrated steps. The Hyundai emblem sits in the centre with 'CRETA' badging placed below it. Other styling elements include roof rails, shark-fin antenna, and spoiler with stop lamp. The company has also introduced an extra stop lamp on the tailgate too just above its release point. Hyundai should consider introducing a pick-up truck in India too as presently there is only Isuzu D-Max V-Cross available in this segment for the buyers. For those asking, Hyundai Creta is priced in a range of Rs 9.99-17.37 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
