Hyundai Motor, a leading carmaker, has unveiled the facelift version of its Ioniq 5 electric sports utility vehicle in global markets. The new fully electric crossover comes with a bigger battery pack and mild exterior and interior updates. The Korean auto giant has also expanded its lineup with a sporty N Line variant, which is positioned between the entry-level trim and the top-spec Ioniq 5 version.

The brand has announced that the new N Line variant and Ioniq 5 facelift will be rolled out in Korea later this month. In India, the auto giant launched the Hyundai Ioniq 5 during the Auto Expo last year. The Ioniq 5 is available at a price of INR 46.05 lakh (ex-showroom).

Inside the cabin, the Hyundai Ioniq comes with a new steering wheel along with interactive pixel lights, parking assist, a wireless charger, a heated steering wheel, and a physical button to manage features like heating and seat ventilation.

The Ioniq 5 Facelift EV comes equipped with a larger 84 kWh battery set, which is borrowed from the Ioniq 5 N. The outgoing Hyundai Ioniq is powered by a 77.4-kWh unit. The new robust battery set will increase the range of the new model. However, the company has not shared the exact range details. On one charge, the Ioniq 5 EV currently provides 458 km of range. The facelift version is likely to offer around 485 km.

One of the significant changes in the Ioniq 5 facelift EV is its size. As compared to the previous EV version, the new model has grown in size, and it now stands 20 mm longer at 4655 mm. The Ioniq 5 has a width of 1890 mm, a wheelbase of 3000 mm, and a height of 1605 mm. The facelift retains the same design language as the outgoing version. The Korean auto giant has tweaked the rear spoiler, bumpers, and headlights. The N-Line performance model rolls on 20-inch alloy wheels.

Hyundai is offering a range of safety features, including second-gen Lane Keeping Assist, Hands-On Detection (HOD) steering wheel, Forward/Side/Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assistant, second-gen Remote Intelligent Parking, and more. The Ioniq 5 Line variant will get N Line metal pedals, specific N Line design elements, dedicated sports seats with the N logo, a dedicated N Line steering wheel and dashboard, contrasting red stitching, a black headliner, and two seat upholstery options.
