Tata Motors, one of India’s largest commercial vehicle makers, has launched the all-new Ace EV 1000 in the Indian market. With this new mini truck, the brand aims to revolutionize last-mile mobility in the country. The zero-emission Ace EV 1000 provides a claimed range of 161 km on one charge. It has a payload capacity of 1 tonne, which is 400 kg more than the outgoing standard Ace electric truck. According to the company, the new Ace electric mini truck has been designed with client feedback in mind and will be available with a variety of cargo deck configurations to cater to a range of industries, including dairy, FMCG, beverages, LPG, and more.

The Ace EV 1000 comes equipped with an upgraded battery management system. It will be available at the brand’s commercial vehicle showrooms across India. Powering the Ace EV 1000 is an AC induction motor that generates a maximum power of 36 bhp and a peak torque of 130 Nm. The motor is mated to a 21.3 kWh LFP battery set that supports both fast and slow charging options.

The Vice President & Business Head (SCV&PU) of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, Vinay Pathak, said, “Over the past two years, our Ace EV customers have been beneficiaries of an unmatched experience which is profitable and sustainable at the same time. They have become ambassadors of the revolutionary zero-emission last-mile mobility solution.
