Tata Motors, one of India's leading automotive companies, has announced that it is planning to launch 10 new battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) in the Indian market by 2025. The brand revealed this information in its Integrated Annual Report for the financial year 2023-24. Tata Motors has displayed various concept models over the past few years, and it is expected to start the production of these models by the end of 2024.

As of now, Tata Motors’ Indian EV portfolio includes models like the Tiago EV, Punch EV, Tigor EV, Nexon EV, and the X-Pres T. The Nexon, in fact, became the best-selling Tata electric vehicle in April. The Nexon EV reached the sales milestone of 525 units. The brand is all set to unveil the Curvv EV in the second half of 2024. The company has confirmed that it will also launch the electric versions of the Tata Harrier and Safari in the first half of 2025. The Tata X-Pres T is currently available for commercial fleets, and the car is also likely to receive subtle upgrades.

At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors displayed the ICE version of the Curvv, which is expected to be launched sometime in 2025. The brand’s famous cars, the Harrier and Safari, are anticipated to get new petrol versions. Moreover, the company will be investing in new charging facilities and will look for partners to produce cells and batteries in India.

Meanwhile, Tata Motor’s sibling Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is planning to halt the production of internal combustion engines and become a fully EV brand by 2025. The company launched its first EV car, the I-Pace, in the Indian market earlier this year.
