In 2019, India has celebrated the festive season for the entire year, as the automakers have tried their best to lure the buyers with the new car launches, where the maximum number of new launches were sport utility vehicle (SUV).
The car market saw the launch of two new cars – Renault Triber and MG Hector.
Both SUVs have created a lot of buzz in the car market. Their popularity rivals to that of Hyundai Creta, another popular SUV.

Renault Triber is the result of the company’s ambition to create disruption in the sub-4-meter market. The car has the looks of a crossover, spacious cabin, features similar to mid-spec hatchbacks accompanied by aggressive pricing tag. The SUV offers other features like Real-Time Navigation, Remote Location, Geo-Fencing, Emergency Response and much more. The system software is designed in a way to be updated via over-the-air (OTA) downloads like firmware and features updates. The SUV comes with pre-loaded apps like mTom IQ Maps, Gaana Premium, and AccuWeather app among others and MG offers free data services for 5 years. The Tata Harrier Specifications for the top model includes an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen that has inbuilt navigation and Apple car play.
MG Hector on road price starts from Rs. 13.68 Lacs for the base model and goes up to Rs. 18.96 Lacs for the top-spec model.
Hyundai Creta was the top-selling SUV in March 2019. The Korean company have infused a lot of power in the machine.
Hyundai Create specifications include 1396 – 1591 cc engine, paired with 6- speed gearbox that pumps 126 bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. Hyundai Creta comes in both petrol and diesel variants with both manual and automatic transmission options. The car has a decent boot space of 400 Litres which makes accommodates a lot of stuff. The mileage of the car ranges in the range of 14 – 22 Kmpl.
The car comes in 15 variants and 9 color options like Stardust, Typhoon Silver, Polar White, Pearl White Dual Tone, Phantom Black, Passion Orange, Passion Orange Dual Tone, Marine Blue, and Fiery Red.
