This week, several stories made it to the national headlines in India which included multiple new car and bike launches. Right from the 2020 Vespa VXL to Vespa SXL facelift and new Aprilia Storm, a total of three products were launched by Piaggio Group. The car segment witnessed the launch of Hyundai Venue Sport trim and iMT gearbox. TVS Scooty Zest BS6 was also launched in the country. while bookings for two upcoming BS6 motorcycles - Ducati Panigale V2 & Mahindra Mojo - also started. 2020 Vespa VXL & SXL Facelift

Piaggio India launched the 2020 Vespa VXL and Vespa SXL facelifts in the country. The company has also introduced the new Aprilia Storm with disc brake and digital cluster. Being unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo in February, the new range of 2020 Vespa facelifts and new Aprilia Storm will be available across Vespa and Aprilia dealerships in India. The bookings for these models with BS6 engine had commenced recently online with benefits worth Rs 2000 on the Vespa VXL & SXL and Rs 1000 on the Aprilia. First BS6 Jawa Perak Motorcycle Delivered in India

Jawa Perak was launched in November 2019 at an introductory price of Rs 1.95 Lakhs (ex-showroom), Delhi. Bookings began from January 2020 with the delivery scheduled from the first week of April. However, Coronavirus pandemic delayed the deliveries of the bike leading to a gap of around seven months between launch and the actual delivery. Finally, the good news came for Jawa customers who were waiting to recieve their cherished set of two-wheels as the company delivered the first unit of BS6 Jawa Perak motorcycle to a customer in Hyderabad last week. Ducati Panigale V2 Bookings Open in India

Ducati India announced the commencement of bookings for its first BS6 motorcycle, Panigale V2 in India last week. The bike was first unveiled at EICMA in 2019 and will now finally arrive in the Indian market. The Panigale V2 will replace the 959 Panigale model and will become a part of the legendary Panigale superbike line-up. The company started accepting bookings for the new Panigale V2 for an initial amount of Rs 1,00,000 from the past week. Hyundai Venue Sport Launched at Rs 10.20 Lakhs

Hyundai Venue Sport Launched

Hyundai India launched a new 'Sport' trim of the Venue subcompact SUV at a starting price of Rs 10.20 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The Sport trim is available with the 1.0L T-GDi Kappa petrol engine and the 1.5L U2 CRDi diesel engine. In addition, the company announced the pricing of Venue iMT (AMT) which is on offer with SX and SX(O) variants of the Sport trim and regular SX and SX (O) variants. Hyundai Venue Sport debuted a new dual-tone Titan Grey with Phantom Black Roof color scheme while a new S+ variant was also introduced with the 1.2L Kappa engine at Rs 8.31 Lakhs. Read More
 

Mahindra Mojo BS6 Bookings Start at Rs 5000

Mahindra Mojo BS6 is just a few days away from hitting the Indian roads as the company has started online booking for the new motorcycle at a token amount of Rs 5000. It will be available in four new color options: Garnet Black, Ruby Red, Red Agate and Pearl Black. The bike was spotted as a test mule a few days back in Pune without any camouflage. Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 was recently teased on social media by the company and it has been known that the motorcycle will not have any cosmetic updates as it will be similar to the BS4 model. Kia Motors India released the first official rendering image of the new production-ready Sonet ahead of its global debut on August 7, 2020. It will be the company's third overall product in India after Seltos & Carnival while being the second ‘made in India’ car from Kia after Seltos. Being unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo as Concept, Kia Sonet will be placed in the subcompact SUV segment which is already flooded with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300 in the Indian market. TVS Motor Company had been updating its entire scooter line-up to meet the BS6 emission norms. The company launched the BS6 version of Zest 110 at Rs 58,640 (ex-showroom) last week. When compared, the model is Rs 6,000 costlier than its BS4 counterpart. Further, the scooter is available in two variants namely Himalayan High Series & Matte. The BS6 TVS Scooty Zest 110 is offered in six color options namely Red, Blue, Purple, Black, Yellow, and Turquoise Blue. We recently told you that Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the S-Cross BS6 petrol on August 5, 2020 in the Indian market. Now, the company officially started the pre-bookings for the crossover both online and at NEXA dealerships at a token amount of Rs 11,000 last week across the country. Maruti S-Cross BS6 petrol will come loaded with a 1.5L K-Series engine with next generation Smart Hybrid technology.
