Volkswagen India has launched the Tiguan Allspace at an introductory price of Rs 33.12 Lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. The premium-SUV will be offered a seven-seater as standard while a few features are borrowed from the Tiguan SUV which is already on sale since the last couple of years in the Indian market. Competing with the likes of Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner & Ford Endeavor, the Tiguan Allspace goes on sale from today across the nation.

Discontinuing the diesel powertrain, Volkswagen has packed the Allspace with a BS 6 compliant petrol engine. The 2.0-litre petrol engine develops 187 bhp max power and 320 Nm peak torque. It will be offered with a seven-speed automatic gearbox with paddleshifters alongside an all-wheel-drive system having several driving modes. In terms of performance, the Allspace can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 8.2 secs in its petrol avatar as compared to 9.6 secs of the outgoing diesel powered SUV.
