Tata Motors Inaugurates its EV-Only Showroom in Gurugram

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) is a subsidiary of Tata Motors, and it has recently inaugurated its first electric vehicle dealership in Gurugram. It has opened two new Tata.ev dealerships, displaying its new brand identity. The new EV space will open to the public on January 7, 2024, and it is located on Sohna Road. Tata Motors said that it is planning to expand the network to a few more cities where it retails the greatest number of EVs. The main objective behind this move is to give a tailor-made experience to EV owners and a range of EVs for various segments, therefore promoting greener and cleaner mobility in India.

The EV-specific dealerships have a Tata.ev brand identity, which promises to deliver a mixture of personalized services, sustainable practices, and advanced technology. Customers can use the fast chargers available at the new dealerships. Tata Motor has also announced that after commencing the new dealerships, it will stop selling EVs in regular showrooms. The company's EV showrooms will also have workshops exclusively for Tata EVs.

This new innovative showroom features a distinctive color scheme, and it marks a major step in Tata Motor’s commitment to sustainable mobility. The new EV spaces will be changed from standard dealerships to complete '3S' facilities offering spare parts support and sales services.

Tata Motors is aiming to provide customers with a seamless experience by including DC fast charging networks at their showrooms. Tata Motor currently sells various electric vehicles in the Indian market, such as the Tiago EV, Curvy EV, Nexon EV, Sierra EV, Harrier EV, and Safari EV.

The MD at Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, Mr. Shailesh Chandra, stated that, “With insights gathered from over 1 Lakh Tata EV customers, we understand that the EV consumers seek a different kind of customer experience. They are sensitive to how the planet is evolving, very conscious about the cost of driving, and desire cutting-edge technology. Tata Electric Car Showroom Interiors This is in line with the new brand identity’s core values – sustainability, community, and technology. The new flagship showrooms are the first physical manifestations of this brand philosophy and we have mapped the customer journey accordingly. We want to empower our customers, so our plans include the creation of a harmonious community space to facilitate customer gatherings/services, sustainability-focused workshops, and events for customers. These showrooms are not just about retailing EVs, but they become TATA.ev community centres in Gurugram.
