2020 Mahindra Thar is making waves in the domestic market since its launch on October 2, 2020. It has received an overwhelming response from customers with over 20,000 plus bookings made so far. There is a 9-month waiting period for the popular off-roader with the manufacturer planning to step-up production at its Nashik plant in Maharashtra. The production will be sped up from January 2021 to cope with rising demand in the country. The New-Gen Mahindra Thar is quite striking in terms of design while it comes packed with loads of features. The new Thar is quite appealing, yet one buyer has modified it further as per his requirements. In a modification done by House of Polish, the SUV's exterior gets a white colour paint job.Â
The modification is totally stunning as it separates the customized Thar from the other stock models currently on sale. Apart from the white Thar, a silver one has also been spotted on Indian roads. Currently, silver-coloured Mahindra Thar is not available at dealerships but do expect it to arrive sooner or later in the market. The vehicle was heavily camouflaged, but one could spot the silver colour paint with matching steel wheels. As of now, the SUV comes in paint schemes like Red Rage, Mystic Copper, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, Rocky Beige and Aqua Marine. If the Indian automaker does offer white and silver colour paint job with the Thar, it would be a nice addition for the buyers to look forward to.
Recently, Mahindra had introduced a wide range of accessories for the Thar. They included exterior design elements, an audio system, parking camera, and camping equipment. Also, a set of all-black 16 inch-alloy wheels is on offer at a cost of Rs 10,625. 2020 Mahindra Thar was given a 4-Star Safety Rating in Adult and Child Category by Global NCAP. It is easily one of the safest SUV plying on our roads. For now, Mahindra Thar has no direct rivals in the country, but it will change in the coming year with the expected arrival of Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
