Tata Altroz iTurbo will be launched tomorrow in the Indian market. The hatchback was unveiled a few days back in the country. Official bookings have also been commenced at a token amount of Rs 11,000. We can expect the model to be priced in the range of Rs 8 lakh - Rs 10 lakhs (ex-showroom). The hatchback will be offered in three 3 variants - XT, XZ, and XZ+.Â
Design-wise, the Tata Altroz iTurbo looks identical to the model currently on sale in India. However, it does get a few updates. The hatchback will feature an ‘iTurbo’ badge on the tailgate. Other design bits include swept-back projector headlamps with LED DRLs, large fog lamps, and a wide air dam among many others.
The new Altroz iTurbo will get a new colour option - Harbour Blue which replaces the silver shade. Inside the cabin, the hatchback comes loaded with a plethora of features. The main update is that the lower half of the dashboard will now come in a lighter grey shade. The hatchback gets the company’s new Intelligent Real-time Assist (IRA) connected car technology with remote access. Furthermore, it features a 17-inch infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto compatibility and a new Doodle personalized wallpaper setting. Other feature highlights include an AC unit with Xpress cool feature, 3-word navigation function, height-adjustable driver seat, voice tech that responds to over 70 commands, Harman sourced surround sound system with two additional tweeters, and cruise control.
Under the hood, the upcoming Altroz iTurbo will be offered with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The motor will generate a maximum power output of 108 bhp @ 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 140 Nm @ 1500-5000 rpm. It is further mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. Furthermore, the company had claimed that the hatchback offers fuel efficiency of 18.13 kmpl.Â
