The biggest news this week was the launch of Bajaj Platina 110 Kick Start variant at a price tag of Rs 51,667 (ex-showroom), India. Couple of other introductions, included the names of EeVe Atreo and Ahava electric scooters which made their way into the domestic market. Bajaj Platina 100 Kick Start Variant Launched at Rs 51,667

Bajaj Platina 100 Kick Start (KS) variant was launched at a starting price of Rs 51,667 (ex-showroom) in India. It is sold in two colour options: Cocktail Wine Red, & Ebony Black with Silver decals. The new KS variant, being the base one in Bajaj Platina 100 range, is now available across all dealerships in the country. The motorcycle comes loaded with ‘Spring-on-Spring’ Nitrox suspension, ‘Comfortec Technology’ and tubeless tyres as standard while getting a refreshed look with hand guards. The new variant is powered by a BS6 compliant 102cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The bike delivers 7.8 bhp of power output @7500rpm and 8.34Nm of peak torque @5500rpm. EeVe Atreo and Ahava Electric Scooters Launched

EeVe has refreshed its electric scooter line-up in India with the addition of two new models - Atreo and Ahava. The former retails at a price point of Rs 64,900 while the latter carries a price tag of Rs 55,000 (ex-showroom). As per EeVe, Atreo electric scooter comes with a range of 100 kms while Ahava can cover a distance of 70 kms on a single full charge. The company is offering a 5-year warranty on both the newly-launched electric scooters. While the battery comes with just a one-year warranty. New-Gen Hyundai i20 Bookings Cross The 30,000 Mark


New-Gen Hyundai i20 bookings recently crossed the 30,000 mark in India within 40 days of its launch. The South Korean automaker has already sold around 20,000 units with 10,000 cars already delivered to the customers. The premium hatchback was launched on the 5th November 2020, at an introductory price of Rs 6.8 lakh (ex-showroom), India. As per the manufacturer,  almost 10 percent of customers are inclined towards the dual-tone colour option. It means, Fiery Red and Starry Night colours are the preferred choices of the Indian buyer. Mahindra and Mahindra recently revealed an exhaustive list of accessories for the new-gen Thar. It comes on top of the ones that were officially existing over the last couple of months. The official website listed a wide number of accessories with the Dark Lord Package being the standout one. Priced at Rs 25,890, it includes 8 exterior blacked-out elements like front bumper & grille cladding, headlamps & mirror appliques, bumper air dam kit, arch cladding among many others. Nissan Magnite Bookings Cross The 10,000 Mark


Nissan Magnite has crossed the 10,000 bookings mark in just 15 days since its launch on 2nd December 2020. The subcompact SUV comes in four trims levels namely XE, XL, XV and XV Premium. As per the manufacturer, 60 percent of the total bookings are for the top-end variants. What is HRSP? How to Apply Online?


Another big news this week was from The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). The authority announced that it would start fining vehicles plying in Delhi that did not have HSRP (High-Security Registration Plate). The government body has further implemented mandatory colour-coded fuel stickers for both three-wheelers and four-wheelers. This rule is applicable for vehicles sold before April 2019. Kia Motors Sells 1 Lakh Connected Cars in India

Kia Motors became the first OEM in India to sell 1 lakh connected cars. The manufacturer currently sells three models namely Seltos, Sonet, and Carnival in the country. All three cars come equipped with the UVO Connect platform. The platform connects smartphones, smartwatches, the car, and its infotainment system into a single unit for a smoother crisp driving experience. UVO connect is loaded with features like voice commands for phone calls, weather, date and time, media control, navigation, cricket score, climate control, and holiday information.
