What comes to your mind when someone says Italy? I don’t know about you but Ducati instantly runs through my mind. Italy might be the one to introduce pizza and spaghetti but for automobile enthusiasts like me, Italy delivers sportscars and sports bikes. I wasn’t surprised to see the excitement in the air about a new motorcycle being unveiled in Italy. If you look closely at the Vyrus Alysen Hyper Exotic Motorcycle, you could imagine the bike being the favourite ride of aliens. Vyrus Aysen springs a surprise in regards to the powertrain as it’s powered by a 1285 cc Ducati Superquadro engine.

Vyrus Alysen

Time to introduce our readers to Vyrus Alyen, the latest stunning model coming from Ducati to catch our attention. Powered by Ducati's 1285 cc, 4 strokes 2 cylinder L shaped 90° Desmo drive engine, it generates 202 bhp of maximum power with a six-speed manual gearbox. Its fuel tank capacity stands at 11 litres and has a wheelbase of  1575 mm, it is going to pack a punch with acceleration and power.

Vyrus doesn’t employ the conventional fork, rather it uses a sub-steering configuration called Vyrus Hydraulic Wired Steering System. Hydraulic steering system separates the steering and suspension processes thus making the motorcycle to be swift around corners and helps in weight transfer under braking.

Mechanically it’s impressive but in design, it takes the shock quotient a notch higher than expected. Vyrus fitted the Alyen with carbon fibre bodywork and wheels. The Alyen front looks visually different due to the inclusion of carbon fibre crafted handguards.

The exhaust system is inspired by the Vyrus 982 M2 motorcycle with the wheels being sourced from Rotobox for decreasing its overall weight. Braking is handled by Brembo Gp4 series while suspension both in the front and rear is taken care by Vyrus Push Rod Twin Pivot.

There is no information on how many units will be made available worldwide but considering Vyrus history, it will be rare and exclusive. Prices will hover around $90k mark if we consider other models in Vyrus stable of bikes as the base.
