Jawa Yezdi motorcycles launched the 2024 Jawa Perak and Jawa Bobber just a few weeks ago. The two-wheeler giant is gradually improving its models by unveiling updated versions. Now, the auto marque has updated its flagship bike, the 2024 Jawa Perak. The brand has made some internal tweaks to the motorcycle to improve the engine’s performance and make it more refined. However, the 2024 Jawa Perak retains the same price tag of INR 2,13,187 (ex-showroom Delhi).
When it comes to cosmetic enhancements, the 2024 Perak sports a stealth matte black/matte grey twin-tone color scheme, which sets it apart from the standard model. The bike’s old-school appeal is further enhanced by a fuel filler cap and a crafted brass tank badging. The Jawa Perak gets a new seat that has a quilted finish. The seat provides better comfort and looks.

The new Jawa Perak's robust powertrain is the most significant update to the 2024 model. The motorcycle is powered by a 334-cc liquid-cooled engine that churns out 29 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 30 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox unit that comes with a slip-and-assist clutch. Previously, this engine was not that refined, as it created more vibrations. To fix this issue, the company has now modified the internal components of this unit. The new motorcycle has received certain improvements, including micro-geometry changes to the gear tooth. This update has resulted in enhanced meshing quality and decreased noise, vibrations, and NVH levels on the bike.
The Jawa Perak has also received new gearbox covers, which provide refined sound emissions. To enhance the overall riding experience, Jawa has tweaked the crankshaft, which provides lower engine stress levels. In addition, the bike gets improved throttle mapping and gear ratios for a better highway and city riding experience. The 2024 model now has a bigger throttle diameter of 38 mm and a unique breather canopy that reduces pollutants and oil usage. To further improve the NVH level and lower friction, the company also changed the piston skirt design and installed a new cast iron liner in the cylinder block. The motorcycle’s ergonomics have also been improved by Jawa. The foot pegs are now positioned 155 mm forward to create a more comfortable riding triangle, even if the handlebar remains unchanged.
In terms of features, the motorcycle comes loaded with telescopic front forks, a single-seat setup, an 18-inch front tyre, a rear mono shock absorber along with a seven-step preload adjustment, a 17-inch rear tyre, front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, and an analog instrument cluster.
