The German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz unveiled the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept on October 11 in Mumbai. In August 2023, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept was premiered at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, and now the automaker has showcased this all-electric aero coupe in Mumbai. The arrival of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 in India shows that India is on the priority list of Mercedes-Benz and their dedication towards the Indian market.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is different from any other luxury coupe. The Maybach 6 is like a vintage aero-style coupe such as the 300SL. In length, the Maybach 6 is 5,700 mm long, and it seats only four passengers. The Maybach 6 shares not just the seating style with the 300SL, but it has also borrowed huge gullwing doors from the old aero-style coupe. Mercedes stated that the Maybach 6 is an accolade to the “glorious age of aero coupes."

The front end of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 spans 2,100 mm wide and gets an imposing chrome grille and LED wing lights. The Maybach 6 comes in red paintwork, and it is completed with an upstanding Mercedes-Benz logo. The rear end of the Maybach 6 is special, with a long bonnet and an enlarged round boat-tail design format that bears a semblance to a luxury yacht. Mercedes has termed the Maybach 6 a 360-degree lounge because the whole cabin is designed as a wraparound cockpit with a big glass area.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is equipped with two circular dials at the back of the steering wheel. Maybach 6 does not have a touchscreen feature because instead of physical control, various functions are employed, including geographic location and driver-related data, which are demonstrated on the complete windscreen.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is an all-electric coupe and is equipped with all-wheel drive because for each wheel there is one dedicated PMS electric motor. From the 80-kWh battery set, the motors churn out a merged output of 740 hp. The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 gets a high speed of 250 kmph as the drivetrain produces thrust to help the Maybach 6 drive from 0-100 kmph in just four seconds. NEDC stated that, on full charge, the Maybach 6 can be driven up to 500 km.
