TVS Motor Company introduced its first electric scooter iQube in Bangalore at a price point of Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom) last year. Now, after a gap of a year, the company has launched the electric scooter in Delhi at a price tag of Rs 1.08 lakhs (ex-showroom). The price of the scooter is cheap in Delhi because the government has waived off the registration charges and road tax for all the electric vehicles sold in the National Capital.


In terms of design, the iQube electric scooter gets a dual-tone front end. It features crystal-clear LED headlamps, rectangular-shaped turn indicators, all LED tail-lamps, Q park assist, ample storage space, USB charging ports with light among others.Feature-wise, the two-wheeler comes equipped with SmartXonnect intuitive connectivity platform powered by integrated Bluetooth. Once it is paired with the TVS iQube app, the rider can access a wide range of features like navigation assist, geofencing, incoming call alerts and remote charge status.  


Mechanically, the iQube Electric is offered with a 4.4 kW hub-mounted motor connected to 3 Li-ion battery packs. The electric scooter offers a maximum speed of 78 kmph and provides an impressive acceleration of 0-40 kmph in just 4.2 seconds. Furthermore, the battery comes with a warranty of 3 years/50,000 kms and is backed by a dedicated BMS. It is wrapped in a high strength aluminium that further makes it resistant to dust and water. 

The TVS iQube electric scooter rivals the likes of Ather 450X and Bajaj Chetak in its segment. Talking about Ather, it has been launched in Delhi but deliveries are yet to commence. As for Bajaj Chetak, it is likely to be launched in the coming months.
